Never ignore a nudge that may be soft as a whisper, but powerful as the storm - Ashish

Mother elephant never picks the new born elephant calf and teaches him/her to walk. She lets the calf figure out, and she slowly and deliberately nudges her when the calf is unstable. Even in the early life of the calf, as he

/she discovers the world around them, the mother never stops the calf from exploring. She just nudges the calf in the direction she believes the exploration will be most useful.

Do not tell your kids the answer nor do it for them. Building the future generation requires us, parents, to nudge our children in the right direction but let them figure out the lessons and the path.

In life, when trying to convince a partner, colleague, friend, family, nudging goes a long way in creating dialogue and openness to find common ground versus telling. The power of nudge lies in the softness of a lily in a dirty pond.
