Knowing the future in certainty is the biggest pain a man has to burden - Ashish
Remember December 21, 2012? Mayan's predicted that the world would come to an end. This post is being written on March 2nd, 2017, and I am excited to report, we survived.
My visit to Chichen-Itza, Mexico, the heart of Mayan culture revealed a simple truth. Given the fact that Mayan's were incredibly talented astronomers and mathematician, keen observers of the sky, they predicted....over 5,126 years, the sun, planets, and stars in the sky end up in the same exact place.
Said differently, if you created a calendar of stars that represents 5,126 years, you do not need to create another calendar. You can simply start over.
The doomsday predictor used the calendar that 'ends' in 5,126 years, that happened to be December 12, 2012, as the 'end' of the world.
You realize people like to see, hear, and believe things from the lens they bring. In this world of free information, what we choose to predict is anyone's guess. The only way I know to predict the future is that I design the pieces for it each day.
